I've lost a decent amount of sleep last night staying up fixing this render up. Who would have thought I could actually be so dedicated to something?! Generally I'm just like "Screw you guys, I'm going to bed." But I just couldn't! This really is kind of a major experimental piece from me and I was enjoying myself too much figuring out what the heck I was doing! :D

You are currently observing a Dark-rays effect from terragen with a few extra things thrown in over the top in post-processing in the Gimp2.2. For a guide as to what the dark-rays effect in terragen is and how to pull one off yourself you can check my gallery for the tutorial I made on it a while back... Or I guess you could just click here. The odd rippling effect of the water which I don' think I've seen before in terragen is a result of the reflections of the rays after it is combined with a curved terrain (which you can only just notice if you look closely at the edges.) Somehow these two things combined made that happen (I think ^^;)

This is my submission into the Wallpaper section's, Greed and Temperance Competition, hopefully it's obviously greed. :?

And obviously it is created to fit into the dual-display monitors, which I don't have personally and thus have no idea if it looks any good on ^^;

For regular monitor resolutions go hit the download button on the side as it contains a .zip file with 1600x1200 (regular monitor) and 1920x1200 (laptop/wide-screen monitor) and a .png version of the 3200x1200 (dunno why though ^^;) version too...

Comments, critiques and anything else under the sun is greatly appreciated... Actually I lied: flames and general nasty-ness will not be appreciated :lmao:

Wow, Terragen has really changed since I last used v0.93 or whatever it was up to. I didn't think you could get that kind of quality out of it.

haha, thanks, although that's what I was using. The planet was added in photoshop, as were the white lights, but the rest is terragen.
