Well, it's the truth... This is a replacement journal, because believe it or not, it's actually not my birthday anymore... So my old journal was a lie! :omfg: And I don't like to be known as a liar...

So and update of life has me at university, I've just put up an emoticon for the Bertie Raymondo pack, and am working on a new planet texture for a space scene that I haven't given much thought yet... But I am trying to make an earthly texture for it... For some reason... Mostly I'm just following a tutorial by `alyn which is pretty complicated, I'm up to colouring it, which will take a while if I use Alyn's method as it involves using the bucket fill tool on only very small areas over a pretty large surface.

Otherwise, life is just peachy... I have to vote in a state election for the first time in my life next week! (In Australia it's compulsory to vote once you reach 18.) I've got no idea who I'm gonna vote for though...

When voting, if you don't know who to vote for, and you must vote, vote against the ones you don't like. The one you don't like the least gets your vote. Or vote for the one that you can tolerate better than the others.

heh yeah the vote...hmm...i think i'll just draw a nice picture on the voting form. seems like the best option given that i dont really know whats really going on with the whole political thing.

In the U.S., voting is optional. I'm not sure I would want to force people to vote, especially if they are uninformed.

I get really, really pissed off when I hear people complaining about the government and elected officials after finding out they didn't even vote... I tear them a new one. :shakefist:

My first election to vote in was when Bush first ran. I voted for Ralph Nater, because I didn't want Bush or Gore. Then when Bush and Kerry were up, it was either vote for an idiot with a southern accent, or vote for an idiot with a monotone voice... at least the southern accent is entertaining. :laughing:
